A Case of Moyamoya Disease




Abstract
Noyamoya disease is a chronic, progressive vascular disorder, characterized by stenosis or occlusion of the supraclinoid portion of the internal carotid artery with extension into the proximal portion of th anterior and middle
cerebral
arteries. There is an associated findings of collateral vascular networks(Moyamoya vessels, that is "something hazy,
like a puff of smoke" appearance) in region of the basal ganglia. We experienced a cases of Moyamoya disease in a 11 year old gril who had frequent episodic transient weakness of the left low extremity and headache, which confirmed
by
four
vessel angiogram.
